On Wednesday, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event surges into full momentum, led by the vibrant energy of Discovery Campus and Baltic Event Co-Production Market pitching and a beginning of Just Film Industry Days. The event continues with an exciting lineup of open masterclasses, panel discussions, lectures, and cross-disciplinary workshops, all designed to inspire emerging talent across filmmaking disciplines.

Whether you’re a screenwriter, director, cinematographer, composer, production designer, or actor, Wednesday offers access to world-class mentors, hands-on creative exploration, and open events that invite guests to learn, connect, and elevate their craft.

Project Pitching: Baltic Event Co-Production Market
All Baltic Event Co-Production Market projects will be presented to the audience on November 19 at 16:30 in a conversation with communication skill trainer Sibylle Kurz and creative consultant Mark Szilagyi. For the second year around the market has expanded its diverse selection to include feature films aimed at youth and children.

The winner of the Baltic Event Co-Production Market will receive the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award of €20,000. This non-reimbursable subsidy is exclusively for the development of feature-length fiction, animation, or documentary co-production.

International Screen Institute: What Does a Sales Company Do and How Does Film Distribution Work
This session unpacks the vital role of sales companies – acting as the bridge between filmmakers and distributors, striking deals, and packaging projects. We’ll explore rights across platforms and territories, and follow a film’s path from acquisition through sales, distribution, marketing, and release.

Immersion Through Music: Shared Tools of Film and Game Scoring
How do film and video game music overlap, and where do they diverge? This panel brings together composer Liina Sumera, director Nicola Piovesan, music supervisor and game developer Natasha Skult, moderated by Thea Zaitsev from Tier Music. They explore shared techniques, creative approaches, and storytelling strategies, showing how each medium can inspire and enrich the other. From adaptive game scores to cinematic themes, these panelists will share workflow insights and practical lessons for composers, directors, and music supervisors working across film and interactive projects.

The Business of Film
This workshop is for everyone who wants to look at the numbers behind filmmaking and how the business works. This session provides a comprehensive introduction to the business side of the film and television industry.

Open Lecture by Costume Designer Debra McGuire
Fine artist, fashion designer, and costume designer Debra McGuire, best known for her 10-year run on the hit show Friends, will present her career journey starting from the 80s.

APostLab Presents: Visual Development
Creating the look and feel of a movie starts not only in grading – it starts way before the shoot, with all departments collaborating very early in the process. This is a prime example of the importance of teamwork and communication, not only for those directly involved in this process. Edmond Laccon will give examples of different films and explain how the concept for the look was a deliberate decision between HODs before the shoot.

Frame Within a Frame: Talent Screening
The FWF Talent Screening is a dedicated session that spotlights eight promising cinematographers. During this event, eight short films, each shot by one of the featured talents, will be screened. The cinematographers will be present to personally introduce and discuss their films. This session also includes two significant awards: the 'FWF ARRI LENS AWARD 2025,' which will be presented by a jury from the IMAGO Technical Committee, ICLS, and ARRI, and a Golden Ticket for a film lab in Poland in 2026, which will be awarded by Team 4 Set to the best upcoming cinematography talent.

Dialogue on Contracts: What Should and Shouldn't Be In a Contract
In this interactive panel workshop, attorney-at-law Priit Lätt and composer Helena Tulve come together to demystify the essentials of film composer agreements. Using a sample contract as their guide, they will explore what should and shouldn’t be included, while illustrating their insights with real-life examples from legal and artistic perspectives. This dialogue offers both practical guidance and cautionary examples, helping participants better understand rights, responsibilities, and potential pitfalls.

International Screen Institute: Design Your Festival Strategy
A successful festival run starts with a smart plan. This session guides filmmakers to define goals – distribution, visibility, awards, or prestige – and map the right path. Discover A-list, niche, regional, and online festivals, master submissions and premiere rules, and learn how to turn festival exposure into industry connections and next steps.

Just Film Industry Days 2025 Kicks Off
Just Film Industry Days is an initiative of Just Film Festival (Youth and Children’s films) and Industry @ Tallinn & Baltic Event. Just Film Industry Days hosts several pitching sessions — Co-Production Market and Works in Progress (WIP) for children’s and youth projects make it a must-attend for the film sales and distribution crowd.

We believe in “early starts,” so we support young filmmakers—especially those still in high school or younger. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated programme offering insights into the industry, along with hands-on workshops. This year’s programme is running from 19–22 November.

Moving forward with AI: Beyond constraints. Future scenarios for European Film productions & business
This session brings together diverse industry experts to demonstrate how to work with AI, and around constraints in our rapidly evolving industry and ecosystem. It will provide practical tips in advancing creativity, workflows, production, finance, teams, and business, within the boundaries of best practices, guidelines, and regulations, and demonstrate how to produce outstanding new content and business by leveraging emerging technologies despite disadvantages, rather than competing against challenges and limitations.

EGF Open Workshop: VFX as Tool of Storytelling
Producer and, until recently, studio vice president on VFX, Arnon Manor, takes a look at the role of VFX in storytelling. The session leads the way to the balance between the creative vision and realistic budget, and envisages the steps of planning.

Austrian Funding Landscape by Salma Abdalla
Salma Abdalla from the Austrian Film Institute, the national funding agency for cinema films, will offer valuable insights into film funding and co-production opportunities with Austria, a small yet vibrant film country boasting a dynamic and productive cinematic landscape. During this session, participants will be guided through Austria’s key funding structures and learn about upcoming perspectives for 2026/2027.

Contemporary Script Style and Dialogue
The second part dives into what makes dialogue amazing: how to use character specifics, subtext, silence, and rhythm to create lines that feel alive and authentic. From what keeps audiences hooked to what makes them fall asleep, this workshop is for anyone who wants their characters’ words to stay in people’s minds — or even end up on a T-shirt one day.

Ever wondered what it takes to stage a Nordic action epic in Estonia, and actually get a rebate for blowing things up? Join the team behind SISU: Road To Revenge for a candid behind-the-scenes look at one of the most ambitious shoots in recent Estonian film history. Featuring Johanna Trass (Line Producer, Allfilm), Hanna Hedengren (1st AD of Sisu), Nele Paves (Film Commissioner, Estonian Film Institute), and moderated by Nunnu Karppinen, this session dives into the realities of making a stunt-heavy, high-octane film in a small but mighty film country.
