Black Nights Discovery Campus, an international continuing education programme, focuses on nurturing and mentoring young professionals and creating networking opportunities through various events.

Discovery Campus unites established talent programmes Script Pool project competition, Black Nights Stars, Music Meets Film, and Black Room, alongside with a new Frame Within a Frame.

Triin Tramberg, the head of Discovery Campus, said that this year, the programme has taken a direction to present its participants to the international film industry. “The program highlights over 40 selected young professionals from various fields, from actors to cinematographers, who have the opportunity to learn from accomplished film industry professionals and build new connections for further cooperation.”

Discovery Campus programme kicked off on Tuesday with an opening panel Creators, Copyright, and AI: A Deep Dive into the Potential of AI, as well as Issues and Opportunities in Creators' Rights, followed by the networking event among the participants. The participants can attend masterclasses and workshops designed for young professionals in the following days. “The program also includes events and panel discussions for the wider audience - this gives industry representatives here in Tallinn a good opportunity to meet the talents. You'll never know when you'll meet your next good cooperation partner?” Tramberg added.

The mentors of the Discovery Campus include distinguished cinematographer and digital imaging supervisor Philippe Ros, acclaimed composer John Altman and acknowledged production designer Kave Quinn.
