Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, the busy business platform in the region for audiovisual industry professionals, held during the Black Nights Film Festival welcomes participants for its main programme in Tallinn from 13 to 17 November 2023. The edition in 2023 introduces a new initiative Just Film Industry Days, and provides a complete line of events covering the most sizzling questions in the sector.

According to Marge Liiske, the head of the summit, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event 2023 program will be connected by several relevant topics in the audiovisual sector, including the incorporation of AI in the industry, sustainability, diversity, inclusion. These themes will serve as unifying threads throughout the event, shaping the discussions and activities. The programme includes highly appreciated features such as TV Beats Forum focusing on the series market, Industry Innovation Forum Tallinn conference and various roundtables, case studies and presentations, as well as one-to-one meetings for all project categories: Baltic Event Co-Production market, Works in Progress presentations, Script Pool, TV Beats Co-Financing market, European Genre Forum, and MIDPOINT Series Launch. The programme highlights the lectures and workshops of the reshaped Black Nights Discovery Campus, an international continuing education programme, uniting the established talent programmes - Black Nights Stars, Music Meets Film and Black Room - and the newest addition, Frame Within the Frame, for young cinematographers. The five-day summit also includes a new conference, "Film skills in the Baltics: professionals and professions in changing industry", focusing on below the line professions' education, career opportunities and challenges in the Baltics.

Together with Just Film Festival Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event introduces Just Film Industry Days designed for film professionals, industry experts, and students. The event will take place on the 14th and 15th of November in Tallinn, coinciding with the festival and Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event. Mikk Granström, Head of Just Film Festival, the event promises to be a thought-provoking and insightful exploration of the ways in which AI, education, and new media shape the future of film, young audiences, and filmmakers. "Additionally, we will present five youth and children's film projects in the Just Film Works in Progress section. In collaboration with KIDS Regio, we will host a panel that explores children's cinema's cultural and economic appeal, covering the entire filmmaking journey from script conception to captivating young audiences in cinemas. Join us to discover talent programs, script labs, pitching forums, distribution opportunities, educational approaches, and the enduring life of children's films," he adds.

This year, the summit also has a strong emphasis on emerging producers. "We launch a new programme for up-and-coming film producers developing their 1st film projects in cooperation with EAVE. In addition, the participants of Script Pool in the Baltic Event Co-Production market will have the opportunity to receive innovative training by EU project CresCine, with a strong focus on script and project development and training on decision-making, maximising the chances of success," Liiske adds.

The programme of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event 2023 will be published in August.
