Baltic Event Co-production market, held since 2005, is the meeting-place for feature films in development looking for co-producers, financiers and sales agents. Around 15 projects are selected each year and over 300 pre-arranged meetings held with decision-makers who have made Tallinn their yearly stopover to look for new projects for their slates.

While the market’s primary territory consists of Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, North Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, and Ukraine, projects from elsewhere, given that they have a link to the afore-mentioned region and are looking to put together a natural co-production, are welcome. As the United Kingdom is the Focus country, the projects from the UK are also welcome.

Baltic Event Co-production market also strives to help finance and distribute films from the region, promote local professionals, filmmaking opportunities and service providers, raise competitiveness and facilitate networking between the region and Western Europe. Baltic Event has put special emphasis on creating a bridge between Eastern Europe and the West, for which the geographical location of Tallinn makes it an ideal place. Training on topics such as marketing and distribution in the international environment, multi-platform opportunities, and alternative financing methods is offered for project representatives.

In 2021, Baltic Event selects up to 12 fiction film projects in development to the Co-Production Market section. 
In addition, Baltic Event Co-Production Market has a new partnership with Film London Production Financing Market (PFM), taking place in October 2022 (dates TBC). Due to the collaboration, one project selected for the Baltic Event 2021 will have the chance to participate in PFM 2022. The selection of the project will be made in collaboration with the PFM management, whose representative(s) will meet the interested projects this year in Tallinn.

Eligibility criteria:

• Full-length fiction film with potential for international distribution;
• Suitable for an international co-production and looking for co-producers;
• A part of financial support in place;
• Projects with transmedia/multiplatform/interactive potential are considered for a special programme at BE2021 edition;
• Projects from Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, North Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, and Ukraine, and Focus Country UK are accepted. Projects from other countries will be taken into consideration for the Co-Production Market, if they are looking for co-production with an eligible country.

Special conditions:

• Once selected, participation includes an accreditation fee of 75 Euros per person

• Once selected, the producer/representative must be present during the market
;
• The official language of the market is English
;
• If the project is accepted to Baltic Event Co-Production Market, it will be mentioned in the end credits of the film, once completed
• Projects presented at BE Co-Production Market are welcome, once completed, to be submitted to the International Competition at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and will be given a special priority during the selection process.
