Veronika Stepanchuk was born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine in 1996. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv to pursue a BA and MA in Film Production at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, followed by a Psychology Master’s degree in 2023.
She has worked at Toy Cinema production in Kyiv, where she worked with numerous productions as a production manager, line producer and post-production producer. Her projects include “My Thoughts Are Silent” (Karlovy Vary 2019), a feature documentary "Generation ‘91" (DOXA FF 2019) and "How Is Katia?" (Locarno FF 2022). Veronika actively engaged in workshops and pitching events, including Karlovy Vary Eastern Promises, Fest Forward:Women in Film, Midpoint, MFI Script 2 Film, HER Docs Pitching Forum, Odesa Pitching, Producers Network and numerous others.
In 2023 Veronika founded a boutique film production company, "Balcony 48" and started developing period drama "Koshetz" and the feature documentary “My Dear Vira”.
In 2024, Veronika was selected as a producer under the Spotlight from Ukraine at the Marché du Film Festival de Cannes.
