Uli Hanisch is an internationally recognised Production Designer, born in Nuremberg, Germany in 1967. His well refined and detailed designs can be recognised in “The Perfume” (2005) which was awarded with Bavarian Film Award, German Film Award and Prix d´Exellence of the European Film Academy and “The Queen’s Gambit” (2019), awarded with a Primetime Emmy Award and the Art Director´s Guild of Los Angeles Production Design Award. Uli’s excellence in visual time traveling has brought him productions such as “Cloud Atlas” (2011) directed by the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer, awarded with the German film Award and nominated for the Art Director´s Guild of Los Angeles Production Design Award. From 2016 to 2021, he’s been designing “Babylon Berlin”, which has brought him to 1920 Germany. In 2022, “The Hunger Games - The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” brought him to a fantastic journey to imagine a prequel for The Hunger Games series.
