The Tartu Film Fund was established in 2015 and is dedicated to supporting filmmakers and promoting film production in Tartu and Southern Estonia. Since its inception, the fund has been committed to supporting film projects and filmmakers. Over eight years of operation, the fund has contributed to the completion of over 40 films, each uniquely enriching the Estonian film sector and showcasing Southern Estonia through various screen stories.

The fund's activities include comprehensive support for filmmakers, including financial assistance, advisory services for project development, and help in finding shooting locations and local service providers. Additionally, the fund participates in international film markets, organizes training sessions and familiarization trips to strengthen the local film community and raise awareness of Southern Estonia as a film region.
