Tanel Toom is an Oscar-nominated film director and screenwriter. His films have been screened around the world in numerous film festivals and won several awards. His short The Confession was nominated for an Oscar and his first feature Truth and Justice (2019) broke all the box office records in Estonia becoming the most watched film in the country. His second feature film, Last Sentinel (2023), starring Kate Bosworth and Thomas Kretschmann, premiered in March 2023.
