Sefa Öztürk is a scriptwriter and second-time feature film director. Her focus is on women’s stories that break the traditional narrative. Her first feature, Trust (2018), a crime thriller that blends family drama with dark humour, premiered in the international competition of the Sofia International Film Festival and ran for the FIPRESCI Award in Flying Broom Int Women FF. Sefa Öztürk is a co-founder of the platform Women with Movie Cameras (WMC) Turkey.
