Armed with a Master's degree in Journalism and another in Film and Media Studies with a focus on Film and Audiovisual Aesthetics, he honed his skills in screenwriting, directing, and cinematography. Over the years, his creative journey evolved into the realm of television, where he made significant contributions as a scriptwriter and developer.
Notably, he played an important role as a in the success of the acclaimed TV drama "Traitor" ("Reetur"). Additionally, his achievements extend to TV documentary series, including the award-winning "On the Edge" ("Üle noatera"), and captivating projects such as "Crazy '90s" ("Pöörased 90-ndad") and "Estonian Spies" ("Eesti luurajad"). Raoul Suvi's directorial ventures include the TV drama series "Easy Life" ("Kerge elu") and "Towards the Sun" ("Päikese poole"), as well as the extensive 24-episode TV drama "The Agency of Dreams" ("Unistuste agentuur“). Raoul Suvi is the scriptwriter of the first Estonian miniseries in Berlinale Series Market Selects 2025 „My Dear Mother“ („Minu kallis ema“), Estonia/ Ukraine. After Berlinale, „My Dear Mother“ has been included into numerous other European festival programmes.
