The Hostages
When a group of strangers are taken hostage in a remote café, a detective must race against the clock to prove that the captor's brother was wrongly convicted of murder – or be forced to watch the hostages, including his wife, killed one by one.
On an ordinary weekday, a group of strangers stop at a remote roadside café, unaware that this quiet place will soon become their prison. Moments later, armed men storm in and take everyone hostage. The captors reach out to one man only – the detective who once led the case that sent their leader's younger brother to life imprisonment. Now he's given an impossible ultimatum: within hours, he must prove the young man was wrongly convicted. If he contacts the police, the hostages – including the detective's pregnant wife – will be killed one by one.
Forced to work alone, the detective reopens the case he thought was long closed. But the deeper he digs, the more he realises the truth isn't what it seemed – and that the younger brother's conviction may be far more complex than he ever believed.
Every minute counts in the race to re-examine the case, and to save the hostages, he must cross lines he once swore he never would.
