The Fassbinds
Fassbind Junior, a kleptomaniac but generous bigger-than-life character fights for his family’s distillery and Grand Hotel in the Swiss Alps, driven by his calling to keep the Fassbind’s business alive during the unpredictable times in between two World Wars.
Two brothers from the eccentric Fassbind family inherit the distillery and Grand Hotel. As a genius businessman, Siegfried invents the first distillery on rails, while Junior fights for the maintenance of the hotel in the turbulent times of a pandemic, the rise of fascism and the economic crisis. The early death of his brother makes Junior Fassbind the family’s only heir while challenging him with major tasks to which he reacts in the most original and unpredictable ways. Get ready for the Fassbinds!
Fiona Ziegler was born in Basel, Switzerland. She finished her MA in International Studies, before studying directing at the Prague Film Academy (FAMU). Her debut fiction Lost in Paradise (2021) is a tragic-comedy, taking place in Switzerland and Czech Republic. Fiona Ziegler lives in Prague and Bern.
Luka Djikanovic was born in Podgorica, Montenegro. He finished his MA at Charles University in International Economics and Political Studies, before enrolling into FAMU – Film Academy in Prague. He studied editing and graduated in directing with his Student LA Award-winning short fiction ‘Boiling’ (2023).
Lukas Teren is a seasoned cinematographer, director and producer. He sharpened his skills at the ASC Masterclass, LA. President of the Association of Slovak Cinematographers since '18, he promotes budding talent. Now leads TEREN LIMITED, producing impactful TV series.
