Synopsis

After the attack on the President of the Czech Republic, investigative journalist Martin Braun teams up with the young online sleuth Julia to uncover what exactly happened - and why. In the course of their investigation, they become entangled in a dangerous game of secret services, international politics and forces determined to keep the truth hidden. People are dying in the pursuit of truth, and Julia and Martin's only hope of avoiding the same fate is to uncover what happened before it is too late.

Lukáš Hanulák

Lukáš Hanulák is a Slovak-Canadian film and television director and producer. He has helmed acclaimed series for Czech and Slovak broadcasters, including "Odsúdené," "Specialisté," and "Dáma a Král." His recent work includes the political thriller "Moloch" (Canal+ Original, 2025), filmed across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine. His English-language debut, the short drama "Empty Spaces" (2022), screened at the 29th Victoria International Film Festival, while his writing credits include the award-winning documentary "Good Death" (2019). A member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Hanulák divides his time between Montreal and Prague.
