Logline

A kind-hearted but eccentric Estonian family man accidentally becomes the sole leader of the whole cocaine trade in Helsinki, Finland.

Synopsis

Kuldar’s partner breaks up with him and relocates their kids from Estonia over the bay to Finland. Unable to imagine his life without his kids, Kuldar sells all his businesses in Estonia and also moves to Helsinki to start a new life there. Kuldar truly loves his children. But he also loves cocaine and that interest leads him to the criminal underbelly of Helsinki. Life, a cruel prankster, suddenly offers Kuldar a chance to become the new drug lord of the city. Even though he has no experience in this trade, he accepts the challenge and becomes a provider for the whole region. Within just one year Kuldar manages to create and destroy his drug empire, date a dangerously unhinged Brazilian model, unintentionally instigate turf wars in the Finnish entertainment industry, and become the UN ambassador in Somalia and an accidental YouTube star. And next to all this craziness he still tries really hard to just be a normal dad.

More info about the project

Producer's note:
The TV series "Let It Snow" is a unique project where the line between reality and fiction blurs in a story inspired by true events. The development of the project "Let It Snow" is partially supported by the Estonian Film Institute and at the moment we also have a strong interest in the VOD platform owned by Estonian Telecom Elisa. As the story has a strong organic connection to Finland we were lucky to attach a coproduction company "Take Two" from Finland almost from the very beginning. In addition to that Wild Bunch France is interested in the distribution of the series and even possible investment in the early stage is in talks. Also, ZDF Studios expressed their interest in closing the gap and distribution of the series. One possible path for developing the project we are also discussing attaching a development. Given all that we are looking for the main missing ingredient – a Broadcaster that would leverage or project and trigger all other options already available.
