Biography

Cinematographer AFC - Digital Imaging Supervisor - Consultant - Instructor. Co-chair of the Technical Committee of IMAGO (Intl. Federation of Cinematographers).Honorary Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC). Philippe Ros is a graduate of the French National Film School Louis Lumiere. He specializes in rhythm, hand-held cameras, and ergonomics issues and is fully acquainted with digital shooting systems and related post-production workflows. He was Digital Imaging Director and cinematographer for six years on Oceans, a film directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud. He was Digital Imaging Supervisor on Home directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. For television, he was the cinematographer of the first five seasons of the series Kaamelott, directed by Alexandre Astier. Recently he was an advisor and a consultant for four months for Newen production to redefine the workflow, camera, and electrical systems choices for a television series. He gives numerous lectures and workshops on digital technology and on the relationship with actors.
