Petri Kemppinen is CEO at Aurora Studios, a Helsinki-based company that develops, produces, finances and distributes film and TV drama in Finland and beyond. He has close to 30 years of experience in journalism, publishing and the audiovisual sector.

He has been consulting on policies, evaluating content and training professionals through his enterprise P1 Kemppinen. He worked from 2013 to 2019 as CEO of the pan-Nordic funding body Nordisk Film & TV Fond in Oslo.

Petri has been the Finnish member of Eurimages' (the pan-European film financing body of Council of Europe) Board of Management 2006 - 2013.

His trustee positions include being a board member at the Swedish Film Institute (since 2019) and European Women´s Audiovisual Network (since 2020). He is also a member of the European Film Academy.

Petri Kemppinen has credits as a financier of more than 50 TV drama series and 150 films include Palme d’Or winner The Square by Ruben Östlund, film festival darlings like The Border by Ali Abbasi, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki by Juho Kuosmanen, Woman at War by Benedikt Erlingsson, Queen of Hearts by May el-Toukhy and renowned TV dramas like Cry Wolf, Paradise, Trapped, Occupied and The Thin Blue Line.
