European Genre Forum platform of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event and Haapsalu Fantastic Film Festival (HOFF) hosted in May the interactive panel “Fight or Fright – Opportunities For The Genre Industry”, where experts shared their thoughts about how the lockdown has affected the industry and what are the ways to go ahead.
We were delighted to discuss the current situation with many leading film industry experts from all over the world including Annick Mahnert (Director, Frontieres co-production market, SP/CAN), Festival programmer and Producer; Todd Brown (Partner, XYZ Films, CAN/USA), Brian Yuzna (Producer, Reanimator, USA); Brendan McCarthy (Screenwriter, Producer Vivarium, IR); Moritz Hemminger (Deputy Head of Sales & Acquisitions, Arri MEDIA, DE) and Jongsuk Thomas Nam (Managing Director, Network of Asian Fantastic Films / NAFF Managing Director/BIFAN Programmer, KR). The panel was moderated by Sten-Kristian Saluveer (Head of NEXT, Marche Du Film, Festival De Cannes, FR/EST).
