TV Beats Co-Financing Market, a part of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, focusing on presenting drama series projects with international sales and distribution potential, has decided to extend the deadline for submissions. The new deadline for submitting the project is 15 July 2024.

This year, the motivation to take part in the market activities takes a huge leap ahead as the market presents the Council of Europe Series Co-Production Development Award, worth €50,000, intended to foster creative collaborations in series co-production and empower independent producers.

The award forms a part of the Pilot Programme for series co-productions, an initiative of the Council of Europe, and is open to independent producers from all Eurimages member states.

Petri Kemppinen, the Co-head of the TV Beats Forum says that they are very happy and proud to integrate the Series Co-Production Development Award to attract even more outstanding projects to the TV Beats lineup this year, and to draw even more producers and talent to mix and mingle in the creative hub of Industry @ Tallinn & Baltic Event.

“We hope this will further boost co-development and co-production relationships new and old, and encourage European producers, talent and distributors to join forces and strive for even deeper collaboration to achieve compelling storytelling and ambitious / high quality series that can reach a global audience,” he adds.

TV Beats Co-Financing Market, established in 2021, aims to present high-quality drama series projects with international sales and distribution potential. To enter the call, the applicant should form a team including a producer, a screenwriter and/or a director. After submissions, up to eight projects looking for partnerships will be selected for pitching. All the presenters will have an option to organize meetings with financiers, partners and broadcasters. The participants can also benefit from mentoring and networking with producers, financiers, sales agents, development and commissioning partners.

The applicants must fill in an online application form on the submission website, providing all the requested information and documents. The deadline for submissions is July 15th, 2024.
