An international Script Pool competition, focusing on film scripts, announced the selected projects including participants from Spain, Switzerland, Estonia, Turkey and a co-production by Croatia, Romania and Serbia.
Script Pool competition, a part of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event film market activities and Discovery Campus educational programme taking place for the 7th time, highlights five international projects and the team - director, scriptwriter and producer behind them. The aim is to gather film projects with high distribution value with a final draft in place. Focusing on the script and the overall project presentation, the projects and their teams will be presented to the international industry decision-makers (sales agents, financiers and co-producers) whose contribution will increase their sales and distribution potential.
According to Triin Tamberg, the manager of Script Pool programme, that as the number of submissions has increased year by year, it was challenging to select five projects to attend the programme. “All the first feature films we did select, are in the phase where the projects with a captivating story have a portion of the financing already in place. I believe the workshops and feedback from the experts will be beneficial for the projects in their development.”
