Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event is delighted to welcome the Production Designers Collective (PDC) as a new partner of Black Room, the Discovery Campus programme dedicated to production design and the art department.

As part of the partnership, PDC will lead the 2026 edition of Black Room, bringing the expertise and international perspective of its professional community to Tallinn. The collaboration will offer participants an opportunity to learn from established production designers and explore the creative and practical processes behind building visual worlds for the screen.

Taking place from 16–20 November 2026, Black Room will bring together eight emerging production design and art department professionals. In addition to closed events, the programme will welcome young profession to attend several open sessions. The programme will address topics including production design and art direction, collaboration within the art department, and tools and approaches that can help participants expand their artistic practice.

The Production Designers Collective is an international community committed to advancing the craft of production design and fostering exchange among professionals working across film and television. Through educational initiatives, professional conversations and international events, PDC creates opportunities for production designers to share knowledge, strengthen connections and support the development of their field.

The new partnership reflects Black Room’s aim to connect emerging talent with internationally recognised professionals and provide participants with practical insight into the creative, collaborative and rapidly evolving nature of production design.

Black Room is a part of Discovery Campus, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event’s international continuing education programme for emerging film professionals. Alongside production design, Discovery Campus offers dedicated programmes for cinematographers, composers, directors, actors, screenwriters and producers.

Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event takes place from 9–20 November 2026 during the 30th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
