Meet us at the 77th Cannes Film Festival!

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event are proud to announce full plans during the Marché du Film this May. Meet our team and let's make plans for the upcoming festival year of 2024!

Back for a second round at Marché du Film, PÖFF joins the ranks of the Fantastic 7 initiative - a connection of seven acclaimed genre film festivals.

Each festival presents one project that is in post-production or recently completed. The event draws a diverse audience of investors, distributors, sales agents, and genre film enthusiasts.

In 2024, PÖFF showcases Dog Of God, a Latvian adult folk tale directed by Raitis Ābele and Lauris Ābele and produced by Kristele Pudane and Giovanni Labadessa. The film tells a story about a 17th century Swedish Livonian village, where constant rain and drunkenness prevail. When a stolen relic sparks witchcraft accusations, an 80-year-old self-proclaimed werewolf named the Dog of God arrives with a mysterious gift: The Devil’s Balls.

The Fantastic 7 showcase will be held on 19 May 2024 | 12:00-13:50 (Palais K, Palais des Festivals)

Goes to Cannes enables film festivals or markets around the world to showcase a curated selection of original works-in-progress by most promising talents. The curator of the project, Triin Tramberg commented: "Goes to Cannes is a great opportunity to present projects in post-production at one of the largest film markets in the world. We always give priority to the filmmakers who have previously presented their projects at our festival's industry strand, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic event, for example at Co-Production Market, Script Pool or European Genre Forum."

The projects will be presented onsite on Saturday May 18 at Palais K, Cannes from 14:00 to 15:50 for the industry professionals around the world. All projects are without a sales agent and are looking for a festival premiere.

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will also participate at Festivals Hub - an exclusive program and venue designed specifically to welcome and connect film festival and market directors, programmers & industry leaders. Festivals Hub aims to establish a community where festival and market professionals can engage with one another, spark collaborations and create new partnerships

The programme runs from the 14th until the 22th of May and is yet to be announced.

Our meeting point is at Pavilion 120, International Village Riviera.
Let's make plans for the upcoming Black Nights!

NB! Be sure to join us at the Co-Production Night on May 18th as well!
