This November brings several new labs and workshops tailored to our guests' feedback and the trends and burning issues in the audiovisual fields. Some of the labs are designed for young professionals, some for all pros, so pick the one - or two - that are most exciting for you and send in your application! Deadlines are approaching!
The various labs and workshops allow participants to gain insights and inspiration from the acknowledged mentors with vast experience. In addition to learning possibilities, there are many opportunities for networking to widen the circle of contacts!
We are delighted to welcome participants to the inaugural Generative AI Atelier, a ground-breaking programme at an A-list festival and market designed to equip film, media and creative industry professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in content creation and business management and strategy.
Taking place onsite in Tallinn on 18-20 November and online on 14-15 January, the Atelier will offer a small group of 12 people a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of generative AI and its applications across the content and creative sectors. Participants will gain insights into the latest trends, strategic forecasts and workflows, as well as practical skills and how to implement AI technologies in their creative and business work.
Participants will engage in both group sessions and one-to-one learning experiences with over 10 mentors, providing an exceptional participant-mentor ratio.
There are also two scholarships available for individuals from under-represented communities or backgrounds.

A programme for emerging professionals in the field of film circulation
This autumn, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, in collaboration with Locarno Pro, will launch the Tallinn Industry Academy to train and support young film industry professionals working specifically in the area of independent film distribution, including online and traditional distribution, sales, film marketing, exhibition, promotion and festival programming.
The workshop serves as a gateway for a new generation of professionals, entering the independent film industry, fostering their development, helping them to better understand the challenges of the industry and expanding their networks. In total, around 12 participants will be invited to attend the in-person workshop, which will take place in Tallinn from 17-22 November.

Breaking Into the Industry… is a unique initiative led by renowned industry veteran Katriel Schory.
The one-of-a-kind lab addresses the critical issues faced by every industry professional: how to strategize, sustain, and grow your business (and yourself) in a highly chaotic and ever-changing industry.
With over 40 years of experience in the international film industry, Katriel will help participants craft project pitches that resonate with funders, provide guidance on nurturing producer-director relationships, develop film projects, and create personal career and business strategies. Katriel's wealth of knowledge and expertise is an invaluable opportunity for emerging producers, and he welcomes questions from those eager to learn.
Taking place as an in-person workshop in Tallinn from 17-22 November, the programme will combine plenary sessions, one-on-one mentoring and interactive industry events to cover various aspects of being a creative producer, from sourcing compelling stories to mastering the development process and refining leadership strategies.

For the second year, we welcome Go Long, which supports a selected number of filmmakers whose short films have screened in competition at PÖFF Shorts, a sub-festival of the Black Nights Film Festival dedicated to showcasing the very best fiction, animation and documentary short films from around the world. Designed for filmmakers at the beginning of their journey into the world of feature film, Go Long offers participants advice on their ideas through informal networking with a panel of industry professionals. Participants are then able to negotiate the feature film world with invaluable tips and feedback on their feature film proposals.
Participants and mentors for the programme will be announced in the autumn.
