As the ecosystem of the film industry is constantly reaching new digital borders, EGF has established a new partnership with project development platform Filmarket Hub. It is accessible to top industry stakeholders, festivals and production houses. EGF is able to provide the selected projects more visible presence in the market between and after the active labs.

“Since Filmarket Hub’s inception, we have always celebrated the importance of genre films and have run several specific genre initiatives. We are therefore delighted to partner with the European Genre Forum to promote their selection of new talent. We look forward to inviting these curated projects onto our online marketplace and to connecting them to potential financing partners, “ says Bernardo Gómez, Co-Founder at Filmarket Hub.

The platform is also including the projects from the selection of the previous year.

The European Genre Forum is a training programme that sets to boost the careers of future European players in the genre film industry through two talent labs, packed with trainings, panels mentoring and pitching sessions. The Directing Lab takes place in Amsterdam during Imagine Film Festival in April, The Producing Lab takes place in Zagreb during Fantastic Zagreb in July and The Marketing&Packaging Lab takes place in Tallinn during PÖFF, in the final week of November.
