In 2024 Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event together with Enterprise Estonia are pleased to award the Estonian project for the first time. The award consists of up to 4,000 euros to be used in 2025 to promote the project at film markets in Europe or North America.
Kadi Haljand, Creative Industries Topic Manager at Enterprise Estonia commented that the main aim of this prize fund is to help Estonian projects reach international audiences through festival screenings, industry events and strategic partnerships. “With the financial support, the Foundation aims to increase the visibility of Estonian filmmakers and encourage cooperation with global industry partners,” she said. “Estonian film industry has made significant progress in recent years, gaining recognition at prestigious international film festivals as well as among renowned critics. The originality and visual quality of our stories have enabled Estonian projects to reach audiences worldwide. I believe the award will help our producers to promote their projects more widely.”
According to Haljand, in addition to its creative output, the Estonian film industry has proven to be a reliable and professional partner for international co-productions. “Year after year, the industry demonstrates growing competence and professionalism, making Estonia an attractive destination for filmmakers from all over the world,” she added.
