
Black Room, a strand of an international continuing education program Discovery Campus dedicated to art department has extended the deadline of the open call until June 30. Black Room 2026 edition focuses on production design in film.
8 participants will be selected to attend the Black Room programme taking place on 16-20 November 2026 in Tallinn during the Black Nights Film Festival and Industry@Tallinn&Baltic Event.
The sessions of Black Room led by acknowledged mentors will dive into topics like production design and art directing, collaborations within the art department, and explore tools to expand your artistic toolkit.
Alltogether 65 emerging talents will be attending the Discovery Campus programme including emerging professionals in film music, cinematography, directores, screnwriters, producers, actors and actresses.
Based on the last year’s feedback, participating in Discovery Campus has high value. The participants have deeply appreciated the opportunity to learn directly from award-winning film professionals through hands-on workshops, masterclasses, and live events.
The list of speakers and mentors of Discovery Campus’ previous editions include director Sahar Rozen, director, producer and BAFTA-winner Mike Newell, cinematographers Philippe Ros AFC, Roberto Schaefer ASC AIC , John-Christian Rosenlund FNF , Rauno Ronkainen FSC and Ville Penttilä FSC ICLS, Dante Spinotti, production designers Jacqueline Abrahams, Maria Djurkovic, Simon Weisse, Sabine Hviid, Christian Olander, Kave Quinn, acclaimed composer, arranger and songwriter John Altman, internationally known casting directors Cassandra Han, Frank Moisell, and Julia Short from International Screen Institute among others.
The Discovery Campus 2026 edition’s five-day programme is in development will be announced in autumn.
