Martin Horvat graduated with degrees in Philosophy and Ancient Greek. He studied screenwriting at the AFI Conservatory and received a Student Academy Award for the short film "All These Voices." His writing credits include TV: "Talking Tom & Friends," "V Imenu Ljudstva," "Primeri Inšpektorja Vrenka," "Skrito v Raju," and films: "Catch," "Preboj," and "Dejan Zavec – 13. Runda."
Martin has worked as a 1st AD, script supervisor, and production manager, as well as a director – he has directed music videos for some of the most prominent artists in Slovenia, most notably two-time Grammy nominee Mak Grgić for his song "Macedonian Girl." He recently completed the Showrunner Training Programme organised by Internationale Filmschule Köln.
