
Maria Rocher holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Ramon Llull University and a Master’s in Scriptwriting for Film and TV. She began her career in the communications departments of production companies such as Notro Films, Manga Films, and Vértice Cine.
She later joined Fasten Films as Grants Executive, working on films such as “Entre la Vie et la Mort,” “Mediterráneo: The Law of the Sea,” “The Permanent Picture” and “O Corpo Aberto,” securing funding from institutions including ICAA, ICEC, Eurimages, and Creative Europe MEDIA Slate Development programme.
In 2022, she joined Federation Spain as Head of Grants and Co-Productions, overseeing project financing strategies and building partnerships with both national and international collaborators.
For the second time, she successfully obtained European MEDIA Slate Development funding for the company’s upcoming productions. She is the Executive Producer of “Dark Waters,” winner of Best Scripted Series at the Sitges FanPitch and selected for The Spanish Connection programme at Berlinale. She is also the Executive Producer of the feature films “My Stalker,” selected for Cannes’ Frontières, the Fantastic Genre Pitch at FICG, the Sitges Film Financing Market, and the BIF Market at the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival; and “Who Knows?,” also selected for Cannes Frontières.
