Mantas Verbiejus (1975) is a Lithuanian film and theatre director. He graduated in 1999 from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Department of Film and TV Directing. During his studies he made several short films, which were selected for international festivals including the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (Germany). His debut feature film “Divorce” (2022) attracted many viewers in Lithuania. Mantas has created several musicals for theatre stages, including the highly acclaimed musical “Lituanica”, as well as well-known plays for children in Lithuania: “Happiness is the Fox”, “The Great Teleportation”, “Domas and Thomas”.
