Leana Jalukse’s debut Mother (2016) premiered at Tribeca, won Best Feature at Kitzbühel and Best Estonian Feature at Tallinn Black Nights, and was Estonia’s Oscar entry. She has since written features, shorts, and the series Von Fock (Estonia–Latvia–Italy, 2025), and co-directed the documentary Kelly – Someone Else’s Dream (2024). Her current slate includes the series Breaking the Ice, The Code of Thule, Angelmaker (Romania) and Mirdja (Finland), all developed as international co-productions.
