Kathy Etoa is a Cameroonian-born Swiss actress based in Berlin. Her path into acting was unconventional, as she first trained and worked in the insurance industry while gaining her first experiences on stage and in front of the camera in Switzerland. In 2021, she moved to Berlin to focus fully on her acting career and is currently studying at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Kathy made her German television debut in 2022 with a leading guest role in WaPo Berlin. Since then, she has worked across film, television and theatre. In 2023, she took on the lead role in the feature film The Total Dream, which premiered at the Hof International Film Festival in 2025. She also appeared in the award-winning series Supermad, recipient of both the German Television Academy Award 2024 and The Grimme Award 2025. Most recently, Kathy portrayed Rose in the Netflix feature film 23 000 Lives, directed by Markus Goller. The film premiered at the Munich International Film Festival in 2026. In the same year, she appeared in the ARD production Wo die Stille tötet – Mord in der Wüste, which celebrated its festival premiere at the 22nd Festival des Deutschen Films Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Kathy will be seen in the upcoming Swiss series Blind. Alongside her screen work, Kathy continues to perform on stage. In 2025, she played the lead role of Gabbi in What You’ll Find on the Way to Becoming at Schauspielhaus Zürich, directed by the New York-based duo Ta-Nia.
