Johanna Lietha is a screenwriter and director working in fiction films, drama series and documentaries. Her debut feature Lovecut – an episodic coming-of-age – won Best Screenplay at the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival in Saarbrücken. Her films are anchored in realism – sometimes poetic, sometimes magical – exploring the human condition with empathy and depth through authentic performances and emotional nuance. Born in Switzerland, she is based in Austria.
