Pancho Magnou Arnábal studied sociology at the University of the Republic of Uruguay and has participated in the management and design of various programs and research projects in the field of culture. He ventured into audiovisual media through short films and participated in national and international courses and workshops. He was an Executive Production instructor at the Uruguayan Film School and coordinator of the DocM Campus at DocMontevideo.

In 2012, he founded Montelona, ​​an arthouse film production company focused on a new generation of Uruguayan talent. His projects and works have participated in and won awards at some of the world's most important festivals, such as Sundance, San Sebastián, Busan, Cannes, IDFA, BAFICI, Guadalajara, Warsaw, Havana, and Karlovy Vary, among others.
