A magnate's death reveals Emma as his unknown daughter, heir alongside four siblings she never knew.

When one of Norway's wealthiest shipping tycoons passes away, Emma (25) learns that she is his previously unknown daughter. The news comes as a shock, and even more surprising is that she has been named in his will, inheriting a large portion of the family business. But the inheritance comes with an even greater revelation - four siblings she never knew existed. When faced with immense wealth, even the best of us can lose our heads. And our hearts.

Directors' note

"Nepobaby" is an engaging relationship drama about loyalty, belonging, friendship, and wealth—in every sense of the word.
Because yes, the series' main character, Emma, is rich. She has a job she enjoys, good friends, and a mother who, despite being a workaholic,
loves her daughter. And then there's Nikko, Emma's great love and future husband. There are only three things Emma doesn't have: a father, siblings, and money.
"Nepobaby" explores what happens to an ordinary person, Emma, who suddenly becomes part of a family with a vastly different financial
background than hers, giving her access to more money than she could spend in a hundred lifetimes.
Written with wit and wisdom by three of the country's best screenwriters, the show delves into the major upheavals money can bring to a
person’s life, without being moralistic. Money isn’t necessarily the root of all evil, but it can be.
In a world where status symbols, fame, and money—for many—seem to be the path to happiness, "Nepobaby" takes a step aside. It’s a story that invites the audience to reflect on what truly has value.
"Nepobaby" is a universal and relatable reflection on what money does to human relationships, our sense of self, and our self-worth.
Above all, however, "Nepobaby" is an entertaining, touching, and engagingly humorous tale about our fundamental longing for belonging,
validation, and love.

Producers' note

"Nepobaby" will be an energetic, engaging, humorous, warm, and deeply human series that explores our fundamental longing for belonging, love, and validation.
Through the main character Emma and the other characters, we will reflect on how these basic needs are complicated by the way money influences relationships, self-esteem, and identity.
The series will balance everyday humor with the more serious emotional challenges that Emma and the other characters face. The dialogues will have a casual lightness, while also being able to delve deeply into the characters' inner lives, giving viewers the opportunity to reflect on their own
values and relationships.
"Nepobaby" will balance humor, warmth, and vulnerability, with a distinct documentary-style visual approach that enhances the emotional depth and authenticity of the story.
