Ewa Wikiel was born 1989 in Warsaw. During her bachelor's degree in political science, she was a guest student in Michael Haneke's directing class. She studying directing at the DFFB. In 2019, her short film NIKOTYNA received the rating Especially Valuable. Her films have been screened in competitions at international festivals, including France, Poland, Croatia, Portugal, and Italy. KRZYK- Losing Control, her graduation film, just won Best Narrative Feature at the Greenpoint Film Festival in NYC.
