Production Design of „Pistol”. Black Room Workshop, pt. 2

Kave Quinn’s workshop will explore two of the keys sets’ and two locations that were expansive to construct and Dress for ‘Pistol’ (2022), a TV series based on the memoir of Steve Jones, the legendary Sex Pistols guitarist who helped usher in a punk revolution in Britain. The series has been created by Craig Pearce, known for his work on 'Elvis' (2022), 'Moulin Rouge!' (2001), and 'Romeo + Juliet' (1996). One of the most significant challenges faced by the Production Designer of 'Pistol' was dealing with the size of the original spaces and the need to expand their scale, all while maintaining the filmic flexibility and preserving the integrity of the original settings. Black Room participants will have the opportunity to navigate the different obstacles, achievements, and insights of the 'Pistol' production design and discover various solutions in alignment with their vision and skills.
