Discovery Campus opening panel: Creators, Copyright, and AI: A Deep Dive into the Potential of AI, as well as Issues and Opportunities in Creators' Rights

With three AI-generated films making their debut in Venice, extensive feature previews displayed at the annual AI & Games Film Festival, and the world's first AI Academy for filmmakers gaining traction at groundbreaking speed, AI tools and platforms for filmmaking have firmly established their presence with no signs of receding.

The Discovery Campus's inaugural panel delves into the current paradox of AI: exploring ways to leverage its capabilities and efficiency for creative potential, while also navigating the still-uncertain terrain of copyright and ethics. This includes safeguarding your rights or attributing copyright to AI-generated synthetic content. The panel, featuring top legal experts, as well as screenwriters and filmmakers at the forefront of the AI wave, aims to demystify, debunk, and delineate the best possibilities, practices, and pitfalls for attendees.

The session is moderated by media and technology visionary, and Head of Cannes Next, Sten Saluveer.

This event will take place in the PwC Legal Office, Tatari 1, 10116 Tallinn.
