John Altman. Creation of an Emmy Winning Score

In the masterclass with the acclaimed composer John Altman, who has worked with more than 100 films, we will be taken on a practical journey of film scoring. The heart of the masterclass lies in the case study of Altman’s Emmy winning score from the film RKO 281 (1999). In order to understand film scoring as a creative process as a whole, with the case study we will also address topics like practicalities of film scoring, learn which creative languages exist in the filmmaking process and understand how much creative freedom comes with film scoring.
