The film industry is going through profound change. Streaming, AI, new financing models and shifting audiences have multiplied what cinema can be, yet many producers, writers and executives describe a strange paralysis: more options, safer choices. How we create extraordinary results and how we survive in a turbulent environment have changed, and so must the way we take up our roles. Drawing on psychoanalysis and organisational research, this keynote presents a framework for understanding the challenge everyone in the industry faces today, including how abundance itself can become a defence that pulls teams and institutions back to proven formats, metrics and names.
