Filming in Ukraine 2026 During Wartime
During the presentation, the Head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency will outline opportunities for international filmmakers who are considering or already planning to shoot in Ukraine in 2026. The presentation will include details about the timeline of the next funding competition, available financial support for minority and majority co-producers, and the participation requirements.
The Head of the Association of Regional Film Commissions of Ukraine will discuss the particularities of filming in different regions of the country during wartime and outline existing safety regulations. The session will showcase potential filming locations for both documentary and fiction projects, and provide practical information on obtaining shooting permits, accessing locations, and cooperating with local military administrations.
During and after the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to meet and talk directly with representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk Film Commission, Mariupol Film Commission, Skadovsk Film Commission, Ternopil Film Commission, Transcarpathian Film Commission, Truskavets Film Commission, and Zhytomyr Film Commission, and to receive first-hand information about real filming opportunities in Ukraine.
