Dialogue on Contracts: Before and After Signing

Negotiating a contract is an important and well discussed topic with the aim to encourage people to ask questions and stand for their rights. For this panel we are talking about the prologue and epilogue of contract. As a composer, what are the rights regarding your compositions’ rights that need to be in order before going into a contract and afterwards what should you keep you eye on? These matters will be discussed and answered in a dialogue between the attorney-at-law and partner at TGS Baltic Priit Lätt and film composer Liina Sumera.
This format, a one-to-one discussion between a film composer and an attorney-at-law creates a transparent and trusting environment to raise topics that can be intimidating to do when actually having these types of negotiations.
