"But That's How It's in the Book!" - Overcoming Creative Challenges When Adapting IP

We talk a lot about adapting IP, but not nearly enough about the creative challenges
that arise when translating a story into a different medium – especially when the story
is not your own. Working with a blueprint may seem like an easier place to start from,
but existing material can easily become a cage or crutch, stifling the creative process.
Drawing on her own experience as an award-winning series writer, sought-after script
consultant, and highly regarded teacher at her alma mater, ifs Köln, Ljubica Luković
leads this workshop to explore the process of adaptation and address some of its
most common challenges.
