Basque in the Spotlight (1)

This year’s Spotlight is dedicated to Basque cinema. With its own language, a distinctive film culture and some of Europe’s most competitive production incentives, the Basque region has become a strong presence on the international festival circuit. This session introduces the Basque film ecosystem: regional funding schemes, tax incentives, and the filmmakers and production companies shaping a new generation of Basque cinema.
