Austrian Funding Landscape by Salma Abdalla

Salma Abdalla from the Austrian Film Institute, the national funding agency for cinema films will offer valuable insights into film funding and co-production opportunities with Austria, a small yet vibrant film country boasting a dynamic and productive cinematic landscape. Around 60% of all Austrian theatrical releases are international co-productions.
During this session, participants will be guided through Austria’s key funding structures and learn about upcoming perspectives for 2026/2027. The presentation will provide a clear overview of how to collaborate effectively with Austrian partners and navigate the various support schemes available for co-productions.
