Anatomy of a Film: Ruairi Bradley and We Beg to Differ
Documentary We Beg To Differ screened at top festivals such as SXSW, Clermont-Ferrand, and Hot Docs and earned over 13 awards, including an Oscar-qualifying win at the Galway Film Fleadh, nominations at the London Critics Circle and Irish Film and Television Awards, and is currently a candidate for the 2026 European Film Awards, which it garnered at PÖFF Shorts in 2024 alongside the Best International New Talents (Live Action) Award for 2024.
Director Ruairi Bradley will talk about the journey for the film as we will explore his time at the Irish National Film School, his initial ideas, the production and negotiating the festival circuit. By following the film from it's birth to its current lauded state, the talk will explore the creative process, the production struggles and the successes. This talk will prove invaluable to film students to gain insight into the work of their peers and anyone else with an interest in examining the processes of others.
