Erkan Taşkıran studied at Ege University, Faculty of Communication Sciences. He began his career in the tourism industry and later authored a travel guide on Western Anatolia, which was published by Trescher Publishing House. In 2016, he completed the YapımLab Basic Production Workshop, organized by Zeynep Atakan. The following year, in 2017, he embarked on a career in film production, working on the short film "Almodovar Theory," directed by Halit Eke. During the same year, he relocated to Munich, Germany. Erkan Taşkıran produced the video work "What If..." for contemporary artist Martina Riescher. In 2021, he produced the short film "Stiletto," directed by Can Merdan Doğan, which made its international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival. In 2023, he produced the short film "The Longest Night." Erkan Taşkıran has been operating his own production company, "Gustav Film GmbH," in Munich, focusing on independent film projects and providing support for various endeavors.
