Dominika Braná is a coordinator of the industry programme TV Days of the Serial Killer festival based in Czechia which aims to become a bridge between Eastern and Western TV drama for professionals from the field.

She studied Media studies and Journalism at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic and University of Tartu, Estonia; graduated in 2018. Right after graduation, she started to work for a production company Telepunk standing behind the Serial Killer festival. Previously, she worked for a literary festival Authors’ Reading Month and completed several internships in various newsrooms and NGOs.

Dominika originally comes from Slovakia but has been living in the Czech Republic since 2012.

Serial Killer is a new progressive festival that has rather fast earned attention and trust from professionals from the field, including those from HBO Europe, Netflix, Amazon Studios, fellow European festivals, or public and private broadcasters from all over Europe but also from Serial Killer’s visitors that are looking forward to discovering outstanding TV drama and keep returning every year. Serial Killer is trying to promote quality drama series from the western part of Europe within the region of Central and Eastern Europe and vice versa, wants to support talents, connect producers and broadcasters, address and reflect problems common for the whole region, set trends and bring experience and know-how from successful creators to local viewers and professionals. The Festival would like to serve as a bridge between West and East providing a platform and a safe space to talk about possible cooperation, new projects and co-production.
