Balahan Gürel is a Turkish filmmaker and the founder of Pera 8 Films. He graduated with distinction from Toronto Film School’s Writing for Film & TV program. His projects have been selected for platforms and festivals including Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival’s Script Pool, Istanbul Film Festival’s Meetings on the Bridge, Izmir International Short FF, and m2 Film Lab. He is currently in post-production for his debut feature This Is It, The Apocalypse, while developing his future projects.
