While Tallinn is unfortunately not directly connected to the rest of Europe by extensive train networks and has limited direct flights, we still encourage our guests to travel to Tallinn in the most climate-friendly way. For example, if you’re travelling from nearby countries, consider taking advantage of the ferry and efficient coach networks, which offer low-carbon journeys directly to Tallinn.
Ferries from Helsinki and Stockholm depart frequently, and coaches from Riga, Vilnius, and Warsaw run multiple times daily.
If you travel through Riga airport, the Festival bus partner Lux Express has a shuttle service that will take you from the airport to the bus stations.
For those coming from further afield, we suggest choosing a direct flight when possible to minimise emissions and offset your carbon footprint through credible carbon offset programmes. Once in Tallinn, use our city’s public transport system, including trams and buses, which are eco-friendly options for getting around the city.
