We love quality films for children and young audiences. That’s why we welcome people working in film production —directors, producers as well as other other creatives, who’ve already made children’s and youth films and/or are currently working on one, looking for partners at different stages, or are simply seeking like-minded people. Even if you’re just considering pursuing a film project for children or youth, this is the place for you. After all, there’s more to gain than lose as Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event happens at the same time. Even if your current project isn’t a children’s or youth film, you’ll still find plenty of like-minded people, exciting projects, and inspiration—or at least some valuable knowledge for the future.
Just Film Industry Days hosts several pitching sessions — Co-Production Market and Works in Progress (WIP) for children’s and youth projects make it a must-attend for the film sales and distribution crowd. What’s absolutely noteworthy is that the winner of Baltic Event Co-Production Market will receive the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award of €20,000. This non-reimbursable subsidy is exclusively for the development of feature-length fiction, animation, or documentary co-production projects.
As Just Film Industry Days takes place during the Just Film Festival and the Black Nights Film Festival, we also welcome festival professionals and programmers. You might be looking for inspiration at our panel talks, pitches, case studies, or research presentations—or just want to relax in our comfy, modern cinema halls to enjoy “fresh from the oven” world premieres, international premieres, and other new films from our festival programme.
We believe in “early starts,” so we support young filmmakers—especially those still in high school or younger. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated programme offering insights into the industry, along with hands-on workshops. We also believe in “teaching them young,” so we welcome teachers who see film as an amazing learning tool, and have also dedicated a programme just for them.
And yes, we’ll definitely continue the Fck Up Night with KIDS Regio, where failure turns into success and creates opportunities for new networking.
We’ll gather inspiration, meet people, visit other festivals and markets, and, of course, watch films—all to come back with THE programme for the Just Film 2025 edition in November! See you in Tallinn!
