Frame Within a Frame 2025: A Cinematographer's Journey

Welcome to the future of visual storytelling. Frame Within a Frame 2025 (FWF25) is an immersive, 7-day programme designed to bridge the gap between emerging and established cinematographers. This year, we're taking our journey on the road, with an exclusive 4-day experience in the vibrant creative hub of Tallinn, followed by an equally dynamic 3 days in Helsinki, in partnership with the visionary Aalto University and Aalto Studios.

What's New in 2025: A Focus on Innovation

FWF25 isn't just a program—it's a revolution in motion. We're thrilled to announce a new partnership with IMAGO (International Federation of Cinematography). Together, we're hosting a groundbreaking LED workshop, a deep dive into the technology and application of LEDs in modern cinematography. This collaborative workshop with the IMAGO Technical Committee and ICLS (International Cinema Lighting Society) is a testament to our commitment to lighting innovation.

Our eight emerging cinematographers selected through a competitive application process will get exclusive hands-on access to the latest ARRI camera, the ARRI ALEXA 35 Xtreme. Thanks to our tech partners Camera Nordic and ARRI, this is a unique opportunity to explore how technology can elevate the art of lighting.
